Effect of Immersion Media for Polyester Composite Reinforced with Chicken Feathers on Creep Behavior

نویسندگان

چکیده

The use of composite materials has expanded in industrial applications around the world, reinforcing composites with waste like (chicken feather) is one effective ways to solve environmental concerns compared traditional methods, as it considered renewable and inexpensive methods addition its presence abundance. main added features over classic are light-weight. This paper investigates effect immersion media for a polyester reinforced chicken feather fillers enhance creep characteristic. was manufactured using hand-layup process. samples were produced by varying weight ratios fiber loading (0 %, 0.2 0.4 0.6 % 0.8 %) immersed three different (KCl (salt media), NaOH (alkali media) HNO3 (acid media)). tested according ASTM standards. results show that feather–reinforced various have probable because their superior mechanical properties non-reinforced composites.

Experimental study of the effect of hybridization on Mechanical Behavior of Jute/Glass Fibers Reinforced Polyester Composite Material

1. Abstract Natural fibers are being increasingly used to substitute artificial glass and carbon fibers in polymer composites. It is important to know how the mechanical properties of these natural fiber composites compare with those of the traditional glass and carbon fiber composites. Glass and carbon fiber composites are currently being used in many applications that may not require such hig...

Creep Behavior of Basalt and Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites

The creep behavior of basalt fiber reinforced epoxy (BFRE) and glass fiber reinforced epoxy (GFRE) composites was studied through tensile testing at high temperature. To study the effect of reinforcing epoxy, the micro glass powder (MGP) was added at various volume percentage into the epoxy resin in BFRE composites. The initial strain for all the specimens were evaluated and compared with each ...

Creep and dynamic viscoelastic behavior of endodontic fiber-reinforced composite posts.

PURPOSE Fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) posts have gained much interest recently and understanding of their viscoelastic properties is important as they can be used in stress-bearing posterior restorations. The aim of this study was to evaluate the creep behavior and the viscoelastic properties of four commercial FRC posts under different temperatures and different storage conditions. METHOD...

Creep of experimental short fiber-reinforced composite resin.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the reinforcing effect of short E-glass fiber fillers oriented in different directions on composite resin under static and dynamic loading. Experimental short fiber-reinforced composite resin (FC) was prepared by mixing 22.5 wt% of short E-glass fibers, 22.5 wt% of resin, and 55 wt% of silane-treated silica fillers. Three groups of specimens (n=5) we...

Effect of Resin Variables on the Creep Behavior of High Density Hardwood Composite Panels

The flexural creep behavior of oriented strandboards (OSB) fabricated with mixed high, density hardwood flakes was investigated. Three types of adhesives, liquid phenolic-formaldehyde (LPF), melamine modified urea-formaldehyde (MUF),.and LPF (face)/MUF (core) were chosen in this investigation. The resin contents (RC) used were 3.5 percent and 5.0 percent. The flakes prepared from white oak, sou...
